Pulmonary Disease Specialist Joins Practice

Fawad Chaudry, M.D., FCCP, a board-certified pulmonologist, has established his practice with OU Physicians. He has also been named an assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and director of interventional pulmonology at OU Medical Center.

Chaudry specializes in interventional pulmonology, which uses endoscopy and other tools to diagnose and treat conditions in the lungs and chest. He also sees patients for general pulmonology, critical care medicine and sleep medicine services.

Chaudry is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonology, critical care and sleep medicine and is board eligible in interventional pulmonology. He completed a fellowships in interventional pulmonology and advanced thoracic interventional endoscopy at Centre Hospitalier de l Universite de Montreal, Canada. He completed additional fellowships in: sleep medicine at the University at Buffalo, New York; critical care medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City; and pulmonary diseases at Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences, New Jersey. He completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New Jersey, and earned his medical degree in Pakistan.

Chaudry is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and the Society of Advanced Bronchoscopy.
