OU College of Dentistry Welcomes New Assistant Dean of Student Affairs

The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry is pleased to announce the appointment of Isabel Rambob, D.D.S., as the college’s assistant dean for student affairs. Rambob will also serve as clinical associate professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences.

 “The OU College of Dentistry is very excited to welcome Dr. Rambob as assistant dean of student affairs,” said Paul M. Mullasseril, D.D.S., M.S., dean of the college. “Dr. Rambob brings a wealth of experience to this role, both clinically and academically. Her passion and expertise will contribute significantly to the college’s commitment to excellence in dental education.”

Rambob earned her doctor of dental surgery degree in 1997 from the State University of Feira de Santana Dental College, Brazil. In 2007, she completed a postgraduate program in advanced education in comprehensive dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry, and in 2008, completed a residency program in advanced education in general dentistry at Howard University College of Dentistry.

Rambob joins OU from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she served for 15 years. During her tenure, she held various crucial roles, such as co-director of interprofessional education, vice president of the Faculty Senate, Behavioral Dentistry course director and assistant director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program.

“I am honored to join the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry as the assistant dean for student affairs,” Rambob said. “I look forward to inspiring and empowering the next generation of dental professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, and contributing to the continued success of this esteemed institution.”

Rambob’s passion for teaching, mentoring, coaching, collaborating and volunteering is evident in her multifaceted career. She is recognized as an avid knowledge seeker who firmly believes in the importance of professional development as a key to success in the dental profession. Her influence extends globally, as she is a prolific speaker who has lectured across the nation, as well as Europe, Asia and South America.

In addition to her academic experience, Rambob is highly involved in professional dental organizations. She is the current president of the American Association of Women Dentists, showcasing her commitment to empowering women in dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society, among many others, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
