OU Children’s Physicians Announces Addition of Hematologist-Oncologist

Rikin K. Shah, M.D., a pediatric hematologist-oncologist, has joined the staff of OU Children’s Physicians. He sees patients at the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Children. He has also been named an assistant professor with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

Shah is part of the Bone Marrow Transplant team at The Children's Hospital, performing bone marrow transplants for many malignant and benign conditions. He is board certified in pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology.

Shah completed a pediatric stem cell transplantation fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. He completed a pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship at the OU College of Medicine. He completed his pediatrics residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center at Amarillo. He earned his medical degree in India.

Shah is a member of the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplant, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, American Society of Hematology, Children’s Oncology Group and American Academy of Pediatrics.
