Professional Practice Gap: • Many aspects of the current medical education environment may negatively impact trainees’ empathy towards patients, and medical educators may struggle to cultivate empathy in this environment. This activity will help close gaps in medical educators’ knowledge of the influences on trainees’ empathy and also provide medical educators with ideas for how the medical humanities can provide unique opportunities to nurture trainees’ empathy.
