Professional Practice Gap: 1) Practitioners may be unaware that according to the latest evidence, the global prevalence of child and adolescent mental illness has increased significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic 2) Practitioners may not know that even before the pandemic a significant number of patients who present to the ED for suicidal ideation return to the ED within 2 months and require inpatient psychiatric admission 3) Practitioners may be unable to identify pediatric populations at high risk for mental health crisis and require inpatient psychiatric admission
