Harold Hamm Diabetes Center (HHDC) Research Symposium
Call for Abstracts
The deadline for Abstract submission for the 2026 HHDC Research Symposium is Friday, October 16, 2026. Please use the attached forms when submitting your abstracts. Abstracts must be received by 5 p.m. The 2026 HHDC Research Symposium will be held on Friday, November 13, 2026, at Nicholson Tower in Oklahoma City. The Symposium will consist of selected oral presentations, and a keynote address by John P. Kirwan, PhD, FACSM, Executive Director, Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, Vice Provost for Diabetes Programs, Chickasaw Nation Endowed Chair in Diabetes Research, Harold Hamm Health Campus at the University of Oklahoma.
All abstracts submitted by trainees will be presented as short 5-slide talks at concurrent sessions, and will be recognized with awards, based on panel judges’ review. Eligibility for awards will be restricted to presentations where a trainee (MD fellows, resident, student) or junior faculty member (instructor, assistant professor, post-doc) is the first author and presenting their work. Abstracts from Junior faculty submissions will be selected for 10-minute talks, but are not award eligible. In addition to oral presentations, all abstracts may also be presented at the poster reception at the end of the day.

On behalf of OCTSI and the Department of Medicine, we are pleased to announce the inaugural Oklahoma Health Services Research Conference. This event will showcase national leaders in health services research from outside institutions and across the University of Oklahoma Health Campus. This event is open to all faculty and trainees from all Colleges.
